A new and different buzz surrounded this years Shluchim Group Photo after photographer Chaim Perl spent about a minute in front of the crowd – with a camera on a strange contraption – before the ‘official’ photo was taken. This was the result, which was first featured on CrownHeights.info last year!
Following the monumental success of this years Kinus Hashluchim Banquet, hundreds of Shluchim made their to 770 and the Shluchim Office where they sat and farbrenged into the night.

Bleachers are set up overnight in anticipation of the Kinus HaShluchim group portrait this morning. The bleachers were borrowed from the Bobover Chasidim in Boro Park.
Thousands of Shluchim gathered after Shabbos for a grand Melave Malka in the Oholei Torah ballroom. Afterwards, they relocated to Beis Rivkah-Campus Chomesh for a general session themed “Hayom Yom: instilling a new spiritual strength in Shlichus every day.”

Before being assigned to groups of Tze’irei Hashluchim to care for over the next few days, volunteer counselors gathered for a mission statement and words of inspiration.

This years Kinus Hashluchim coincides with the 200th Yohrtzeit of the Alter Rebbe – the author of the holy Tanya. Marking this milestone a new special edition of the Tanya was printed for the Shluchim and was distributed on Thursday.
