The Broadwalk Shopping Centre was the first stop for many local Jews this Chanuka, with Lubavitch of Edgware’s public menorah lighting on Tuesday afternoon. Close to 300 people joined Rabbi Zalman Sudak in the lighting of the first candle, followed by singing Chanuka songs, and Eliyahu Gorman on the keyboard.

First Ever Solar-Powered Menorah in Woodstock, NY
Chabad Lubavitch of Ulster County is proud to host the first solar powered Menorah in the world. It is standing in the Center of Woodstock, NY. “We are very excited about this,” said Rabbi A. B. Itkin, who came up with the idea, “and hope to be able to duplicate this in other Menorahs around the wold.”
Perfectly Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside and oozing with delicious jelly - i set out on a quest to find the perfect jelly doughnut - that greasy chanukah treat we look forward to an entire year. So, I took a stroll up Kingston Ave. and ate every type of jelly doughnut i saw, from every bake shop in Crown Heights. (On a side note, I think I'll be sticking to the latkes over this year's Chanukah.)

This Thursday: Worlds’s Largest Menorah Parade
The organizers of the Annual NYC Chanukah Menorah Parade, run by the Mitzvah Tank Org. under the auspices of the Lubavitch Youth Org., have announced that due to more “Pirsumei Nisa”, this year tradition will change. The parade will be advanced to Thursday night the 3rd night of Chanukah – Dec 22nd at 5pm, instead of Motzoei Shabbos as every year.

Orel’s Chanukah Miracle
Orel was wounded two years ago in the city of Bee’r Sheva by a rocket attack during the war in Gaza. The rocket pierced his brain and caused a fatal injury. Doctors did not give him much hope.
