Last week, CGI Bat-Mitzvah Experience (B-ME) campers spent a whirlwind weekend in the Chabad enclave of Crown Heights in Brooklyn, NY, where they toured a slew of local attractions and significant locations including the Rebbe’s home, office and shul.
Camp got off to a smashing start in Lyon, France, where Jewish children from all over the city are given the wonderful dual experience of learning about their faith and having a blast.
As the shul filled with campers and counselors, there was an ominous hush in the air; the campers had been told someone had taken material from the arts and crafts…
The girls of camp Emunah’s Junior division were split up into two teams for color war: Team Eretz Yisroel (blue) and team Chutz La’aretz (red), representing the two different approaches to bringing Moshiach.
Bochurim attending the Yeshiva Summer Program in Morristown, NJ were treated to an ice skating trip on Thursday, July 5th. In addition to the skating, the Bochurim enjoyed laser tag and arcade games as well.
On Wednesday night, Camp Gan Israel in Parksville, NY enjoyed an amazing Talent Night, where the campers and staff were treated to a dazzling display of raw talent performed by their fellow campers and staff.
Although Canadians celebrate July 1st as Canada day and the 4th of July is a regular working day, Mr. Sidney Spiegel was pleased he took the day off and flew up with his wife Naomi to visit the fledgling new overnight Camp Gan Israel in Haliburton, Ontario.

Camp Gan Israel of Parksville, NY set off this morning for the first month of summer up in the Catskill Mountains.
A new summer program is opening in Crown Heights under the leadership of Rabbi Eli Sandhaus former director of many out of town summer programs and teacher in Yeshiva Darchai Menachem. The program will cater to mainstream boys ages 13 to 15.
After it’s major success this past year, Yeshivas YNS of New Jersey announced its new summer program this season with director Rabbi ‘O’ and head counselor Moishe Orimland. The program is geared for boys ages 14 to 17.
Yeshivas Kayitz – Tzeirei HaShluchim Tzfat concluded another fun, powerful, and exciting summer program. For six incredible weeks the Yeshiva’s Yisroel Aryeh Leib – Colel Chabad campus in Tzfat was filled with the sound of 80 talmidim and 20 madrichim from 770 learning and playing.
With the quick thinking and ingenuity of the dedicated staff, Oholei Torah day camp turned a dreary rain day into an exciting “duck parade” and “mini amusement” park day for the younger division.
Parents made the trip to Montreal Canada to visit their children in Camp Gan Yisroel Montreal for the second visiting day of the summer.
