Advocates for the release of Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin will be ramping up their efforts in the coming week. Harnessing the grassroots support for the imprisoned father of ten, organizers will be unrolling the Sholom Across America campaign, beginning on Monday May 23rd. The campaign to raise awareness will start in Crown Heights, and aims to eventually visit 16 major Jewish communities across the United States and Canada.

Snowflakes were swirling around outside, threatening a storm, but inside Bris Avrohom—an organization which provides support to Russian immigrants—a spark of Jewish faith was glowing. One ember, in particular, was on the verge of bursting into a magnificent flame that would eventually carry its light on a journey back home to Russia, where the entire story began.

South Florida Girls Celebrate Jewish Womanhood

Chabad-Lubavitch of South Broward’s Bat Mitzvah Club Gala was held at the L’Chaim Mee China restaurant in Hollywood, Fla.

A group of girls in South Florida enjoyed a mass birthday celebration with their families as part of their local Bat Mitzvah Club. Members of the club, a project of Chabad-Lubavitch of South Broward, met each Sunday over the past year in Hallandale to learn about Jewish women throughout history through the use of hands-on activities and art projects.
