The excavations have provided a glance at a dramatic episode in the history of the Jewish people: the preparation of shelters for the Revolt of the Jews against the Romans led by Bar Kokhba in 132–136 CE.

As beloved members of the South Broward community, Tzvi Davened in the Chabad of South Broward Main Synagogue in Hallandale Beach for four years before moving to Surfside. In their honor, a Sefer Torah was completed at the Chabad in Hallandale Beach.
