NYC has announced the start of a $36 million project to renovate and expand the Eastern Parkway Library, increasing the branch’s public space by more than 50% while preserving its historic site architecture. The renovations are expected to be completed in the summer of 2028.

Everyone is well aware of what the Rebbe notes in Hayom Yom, about the seven teachings on the first possuk of this week’s Parsha, that that the Rebbe Rashab heard in Gan Eden from the Baal Shem Tov. However, the background to this amazing story, is not really known to many, so I decided to post it.
The Rebbe held 25 farbrengens on Shabbos Parshas Ki Savo. The sichos from these farbrengens span around 700 pages in the Yiddish Hanochos (transcripts) in Sichos Kodesh, and around 70 pages in the 9 English Hanochos published by Sichos in English.
