It begins with her self-sacrifice for tznius at a time of Greek influence and trends which large segments of the Jewish population, Hellenists, fell prey to during those difficult times.

CHYE Hosts ‘Founders Event’ at Global Firm

On Monday night, some 120 guests gathered at Deloitte & Touche LLP’s headquarters located at one of New York City’s leading landmarks, 30 Rockefeller Center, for a unique celebration. The high caliber networking event acknowledged the achievements of Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs and gave tribute to the organization’s Founders Circle.

First Candle Lit at ‘Crossroads of the World’

A group of Bochrim braved the poor weather conditions and brought the Chanukah spirit to Times Square – “the crossroads of the world.” The Bochurim assembled a Menorah made of PVC, and gave the honor of lighting it to a passing Jew. They then fanned out and distributed Menorah kits and the traditional jelly doughnuts to the many passersby.
