Tzfat, Israel — A week into the summer of Yeshivas Tzeirei HaShluchim, the entire Yeshiva gathered together with the Menahel of the Mosdos Chabad in Tzfas Rabbi Chaim Kaplan to celebrate a Seudas Hodoa.

Rabbi Kivi and his wife Zeesy (nee Goldman) Greenbaum will IYH be moving on Shlichus to Ewing, NJ where they will establish a new Chabad House on the campus of the College of New Jersey.
The new Shluchim were appointed by Rabbi Dovid Dubov the director of Chabad of Mercer County.

Andes, NY — Camp Lman Achai’s first session of summer 5767 started off with a bang. Under clear blue skies and freshly mowed grass, eager staff awaited as the campers began to arrive. The first vans coming straight from the airport, were filled with excited campers flying in from Florida, Tennessee, Chicago, Texas, California, and as far out as Caracas, Venezuela.

Early this morning two officers of the NYPD who are assigned to the 71st precinct which is the one that protects our streets were shot while performing a traffic stop of a vehicle that’s license plates did not match the car, the two officers were shot.
Officer Russell Timoshenko, 23, was reported to be in grave condition with two wounds to the face and with bullets lodged in the back of his skull. His partner, Officer Herman Yan, 26, also was wounded, but a shot to his chest was stopped by his bullet-resistant vest.

Crown Heights, Brooklyn — Two New York City Police officers were shot early Monday morning during a routine traffic stop in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
Officer Russell Timoshenko, 23, was shot in the face and neck and is in extremely critical condition.
An officer at the hospital said, “It would be a miracle if he survives.”
Residents note: Many streets are currently closed to vehicular traffic around the area.

When Rabbi Levi and Hadassah Backman arrived at Western Washington University in Bellingham, they didn’t expect their Chabad House to win an award in just under a year-and-a-half. But on May 31 – the date represented the completion of the Backmans’ fifth trimester serving the students and surrounding community – Associated Students, the university’s umbrella organization of student activities, awarded the Backmans’ student club the religious “Club of the Year” commendation.
In its presentation, Associated Students hailed the 17-month-old Chabad House, one of 20 religious clubs at Western Washington, for bringing “Shabbat for everyone to campus.”

Opening day was far from normal last week at one of the Camp Gan Israel day camps in suburban Boston. Several hours into the Chabad-Lubavitch camp’s first day at the Shaloh House Jewish Day School in Brighton, Mass., a group of 10 Israeli boys arrived for the summer.
