Truck crushes legs of beloved Brooklyn woman

Crown Heights, Brooklyn — A 16-wheeler struck an 84-year-old widow – crushing her legs – as she crossed a Brooklyn street pushing her shopping cart.

Harriet Evanter, a fixture in her Crown Heights neighborhood, was hit in a crosswalk on Nostrand Ave. about 8:49 a.m. Tuesday, police and witnesses said.

He is known as Derrik Nelson, he is the perpetrator behind dozens upon dozens of car break-ins causing damages in the tens of thousands of dollars to cars in our community along with the added aggravation and inconvenience of needing to fix the damage. Due to the nature of the crime which is classified as a GLA (Grand Larceny Auto) which is a crime that carries a little if any jail time.

Shomrim are out every night patrolling our streets but they still need the publics help, if you see him or anyone lurking around and suspicious call the Shomrim hotline at (718) 774-3333 at anytime to alert patrolling members to keep an extra eye on him and prevent this slew of break-ins.

Rabbi Joseph Gutnick and his brother-in-law and sister Rabbi Pinchus and Rebbetzin Pnina Feldman had been embroiled in a long standing dispute over 10 million dollars dating back over ten years ago. Last night it had been resolved at a family Simcha along with the recitation of the blessing of ‘Shehecheyanu’.

The person on the other line asked to speak to Rabbi Binyamin Kluger (a Lubavitcher Chosid who lives in Jerusalem and is part of the anti-missionary department in Yad L’achim). When Rabbi Kluger took the call the person introduced himself as Hannania C. a member of a missionary cult in “Mevaseres malchus” that is headed by Mr Shimon Nochum, who threatened Rabbi Kluger with his life.

FJC Russia expands cooperation with the Russian army to assist Jewish Soldiers

Moscow, Russia -– A meeting took place between the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia and the company VMK (War Memorial Company) to widen their cooperation. While established in 1997 at the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, VMK now is comprised of 300 branches in 76 regions of Russia.
