JEM is at it again! Part of the My Encounter with the Rebbe project, JEM plans to release the fourth film in the Early Years series. The Early Years, Volume IV covers 1940-1941, the Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s last year in war-ravaged Europe and their arrival in America. It is scheduled to be released in a few weeks.

As Shluchim on campus, many of my colleagues deal with great mesiras nefesh with a constant uphill battle, inspiring and serving hundreds of Jewish students each and every week. Around this time each year, though, we are reminded that we're not alone.
Seeing the unbelievable Hachnosas Orchim with which the residents of Crown Heights open their doors, take care of our students, and put up with all of the tumult that goes along with such an endeavor – especially knowing that this comes so closely on the heels of an already very taxing month of Tishrei – is the greatest reminder that Chassidim Ein Mishpocha, that we are part of a family of Chassidim who are true partners in our work.

Next weekend, Shabbos Parsha Lech Lecha, over 800 students and 100 Shluchim and Shluchos will be coming bez”h to Crown Heights for the largest Pegisha of its kind in history.

Sukkos Mivtzoim in Illinois
CHICAGO, IL [CHI] — In honor of Sukkos this year there were three Sukka mobiles that went on Mivtzoim on the 3 days of Chol Hamoed. Bochurim woke early in the morning, Davened, had a quick breakfast and then set out for a full day of Mivtzoim in the different areas through out the state of Illinois covering shopping malls, busy street corners, visiting Chabad Houses and bringing JKewish pride through out the state.

Alternate Side Parking Rules Suspended Tuesday
Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations will be suspended on Tuesday, October 28 for holiday observance of Diwali. All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.

Hachnoses Safer Torah in Kowloon!
HONG KONG, China [CHI] — History was made this Sunday afternoon in the Kowloon side of Hong Kong, China. A new Torah scroll, donated by Isaac and Frida Kamhin and family of Hong Kong, was given to the Chabad House in Kowloon and written in fulfillment of the Torah’s final Mitzva.

Accident Involving School Bus and Minivan
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – An accident between a minivan driven by a Bochur and a school bus from a local public school B”H ended with no injuries, the incident took place at around 4:00pm today, Monday, on President Street between Albany and Kingston.
