Some of you may be planning on spending this coming Shabbos/Purim away from home. What you may not realize is that after you leave your homes for Shabbos, people might leave Shalach Manos packages outside your doors. Please be aware that the Shomrim and Police Department has informed us that the last time Purim was on a Friday, many homes were burglarized because of this. We are therefore urging all of our members to do the following:
a) If you are delivering Shalach Manos to a home close to Shabbos, and the residents are not home, DO NOT LEAVE IT. Rather, you could call after Shabbos to say that you tried their home but they were not there.
b) If you will be away, arrange with a neighbor to ensure that the front of your doors is cleared of all packages prior to the start of Shabbos.
c) If you see any Shalach Manos packages in front of your neighbor’s door prior to the start of Shabbos, please take the initiative to bring them into your home. Inform your neighbors when they return that you have their Shalach Manos.
We would like to wish all of our members and friends along with their families a safe and a Freilichen Purim.
We would like to wish Mazal Tov to Mendy Azoulay (Paris, France) and Pesha Leah Roetter (Oak Park, MI) on their engagement.

Hashem put us humans into this world. A world with its never-ending ups and downs, both physically and spiritually.
How lucky we are, us Yidden: We received the Torah as a gift. It is a gift from Hashem. Hashem knows what is best for us and there IS NO OTHER TRUTH besides the Torah. When we follow the Torah guidelines, we are assured by Hashem that we are living our lives in the best possible way, and in the derech that He wanted us to live.
A way that is contrary to how Hashem wants one to live their lives distances one from Hashem, and will ultimately bring one to no good, one way or the other. To help us live by the Torah’s ways, Hashem gives us leaders to help guide us and remind us of the correct way of life for a Yid.
