Boston, MA [CHI] — Virgin America, the California-based airline that is reinventing domestic travel, today launches its low-fare service from the West Coast to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). Effective today, Virgin America will fly three daily roundtrips between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and BOS, and two daily roundtrips between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and BOS – with in-flight WiFi service available on every Boston flight.

A crowd of ladies enjoy various sprouts at the Jewish Women’s Circle evening, “Healthy Body, Healthy Soul” at which Alyse Matsil of Perfect Foods, shown lecturing here, offered a raw food demonstration.

GOSHEN, NY [CHI] — Chabad’s Jewish Women’s Circle enjoyed inspirational and creative programs throughout the winter. One winter favorite was an uplifting and soulful concert with singer/songwriter Shoshana Bander of Brooklyn. The concert, “Listen to the Light” was enjoyed by over fifty women from throughout the County. “Shoshana intertwined moving and educational stories throughout her performance,” says Chana Burston, who leads the Jewish Women’s Circle and co-directs Chabad of Orange County with her husband, Rabbi Pesach. “Women from all affiliations and backgrounds came to enjoy the concert, and as we danced and sang together, there was a strong sense of unity among all the participants.” Afterward, all enjoyed a fabulous “lattes bar” and café themed desserts.

Yeshiva Enters the Information Age

MORRISTOWN, NJ [CHI] — A call rings out across the study hall “Yitzy! Hey Yitzy! Do you have that piece of Gemara figured out?”

“Yeah, I think so, here!” and Yitzy tosses a small, portable flash drive across the room. It’s caught by another student and promptly plugged into his idling laptop, which opens a file on the new program, Gemara Berura.

VLADIVOSTOK, Russia — A Vladivostok court Wednesday ordered a senior Far East rabbi, a U.S. citizen, to be deported after it ruled that he misrepresented his activities in the country on his visa application.

The city's Pervorechensky District Court ruled to deport Israel Silberstein, 26, the chief rabbi of the Primorye region, Daniil Yakovlev, a spokesman for the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia, told The Moscow Times.

“Chutzpah!” Mason berated the crowd amidst peels of laughter. “It takes me coming to the Seniors’ Club for all of you to step foot into a synagogue?”
