BROOKLYN, NY [ABC] — The NYPD lieutenant who authorized the fatal use of a taser stun gun on a naked Brooklyn psychiatric patient committed suicide at Floyd Bennett Field this morning.

Late Night Joy Ride ends in Disaster on Kingston
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A late night joy ride ended with a collision with a parked car. The incident took place at around 4:00am when the Jewish teen attempted to make a left from Montgomery Street onto Kingston Avenue but failed to recover from the turn and slammed into a parked car, causing significant damage and pushing it up onto the sidewalk.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — A teenage girl was arrested on Wednesday in the fatal stabbing of her 16-year old cousin in her family’s apartment in Crown Heights the day before, the authorities said.

Sh’vorim-t’rua
1) In the main shofar blowing – before musaf – in the sequence of t’keeya-sh’vorim-t’rua-t’keeya, the sh’vorim-t’rua should be blown in a single breath. The same applies when one blows to enable someone else to fulfill the mitzva (such as at home for family members, or on mivtza’im).However the shofar which is blown by mussaf is done with a breath in between the sh’vorim-t’rua.

Once Again – Police Prohibit Vending Around 770
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – One of the staples of Tishrai is the seemingly impossible task of navigating the sidewalks around 770, thanks to the marketplace it becomes. The police have put an end to it as they have done last year, citing security concerns.
