Chanukah Menorah Built from Cans Finally Lit
WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI — Over 5000 cans went into making the Chanukah Menorah. There were over 300 people at the lighting event. There was a lot of TV and media to report the lighting.! State Rep. Andy Meisner lit the Menorah. To read more about this project Click Here.

Chanukah Celebration Begins
PASADENA, CA — Jews throughout the San Gabriel Valley and around the world gathered at sundown Sunday to celebrate the first day of Hanukkah, also known as the festival of lights.
Synagogues and Jewish organizations throughout the region will be hosting traditional candle lighting ceremonies and prayers over the next several days in observance of the eight-day holiday.

Haringey Menorah Lighting
Tzivos Hashem of England put up a Menorah at Alexandra Palace in the borough of Harringey. First night Chanukah a public lighting was held with the Mayor of Haringey and Rabbi Yossi Simon of TH in attendance. The boys of Chayolei Tzivos Hashem sung in a choir. Doughnuts and L’chaim were distributed. The large crowds all in festive moods enjoyed themselves at the Chanukah Lighting.

The L’Chaim will IYH be tonight, Tuesday at the Lubavitcher Yeshiva, 570 Crown St [hall entrance on Albany Ave].
When I was chosen this year to serve alongside Queen Rania of Jordan, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Richard Branson as one of the judges for CNN's Heroes, I met and befriended an incredible woman named Carolyn Lecroy who runs the Messages Project, which videotapes prison inmates reading bedtime stories and communicating with their children. As I watched Carolyn's work with my own children on the DVD CNN sent me, tears streamed down all of our eyes. We immediately identified with the millions of children who have done no wrong but whose parents' incarceration brings them unending suffering.
