Grand Art Contest for Shluchim Kids

Shluchim kids throughout the world recently took part in a grand Art Contest organized by The Shluchim Office in honor of Chof Ches Nissan. The theme of the contest was “What the world will be like during ימות המשיח .” Kids of all ages expressed their talents as they sent in their very own creative drawings.

Tuesday marked the fifth anniversary of the passing Rabbi Yehuda Leib Raskin, Chabad emissary to Morocco for more than 44 years.

Born in Russia in 1933, Raskin escaped with his family to Kazakhstan during World War II. There he met Rabbi Schneerson’s father, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, right after his release from prison and exile. The young Raskin often assisted the elder Schneerson with his religious and physical needs.

AIPAC Conference Brings 1,000 Students to Washington

WASHINGTON — Among the more than 6,500 people who flocked to Washington, D.C., this week to attend the annual Policy Conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee were more than 1,000 college students, who on the first day of the gathering, had their own reception on the balcony of the Washington Convention Center.
