Gov. Paterson on Monday joined the chorus of critics questioning the government's plan to try Kalid Shaikh Mohammed and four other accused 9/11 terrorists in New York.

Thousands of children from schools worldwide will gather for a children’s rally in honor of Gabi and Rivka’s Yortzeit.

The focus of this months missions is Shlichus. We are reflecting on true roll models: Gabi and Rivka, with practical ways of how we can emulate them.

Wednesday: Global Children’s Rally in Honor of Mumbai Kedoshiim

Thousands of children from schools worldwide will gather for a children’s rally in honor of Gabi and Rivka’s Yortzeit.

The focus of this months missions is Shlichus. We are reflecting on true roll models: Gabi and Rivka, with practical ways of how we can emulate them.

CrownHeights.info, Chabad.org and Jewish.tv presents a live broadcast memorial service being held tonight at 8pm in honor of Gabi and Rivki Holtzberg’s yahrtzeit at Chabad of the Upper East Side.

The memorial will include an address by Rabbi Gabi Holtzberg’s father, Rabbi Nachman Holtzberg, the patron of the Rohr Chabad House in Mumbai and philanthropist, Mr. George Rohr, and Rabbi Binyomin Krasiansky as well as a memorial performance by Avraham Fried and musical tribute by Moshe Nunez. The event will take place at Chabad of the Upper East Side.

Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin Denied Basic Rights

SHOCKING: Thursday evening, after sitting through an hour-long recitation of the jury’s verdicts in Sioux Falls, Iowa, Reb Shalom Mordechai Rubashkin was detained pending a bail hearing at the insistence of Peter Deegan. If that were not shocking enough, the ordeal he was subsequently put through is positively offensive, contemptible, and a black mark on the justice system of the United States.

Reb Shalom Mordechai was taken by the US Marshals service to South Dakota State penitentiary in Sioux Falls pending transfer to Iowa. He was not allowed to make a phone call to inform his lawyers or his family of his location. One of the Marshals, upon learning of this, was nice enough to call the family. They would have otherwise not known where he was.
