Chabad of Riverdale Celebrated Its 19th Ann.

RIVERDALE, NY [CHI] — Over 250 friends and supporters gathered this past Saturday evening, January 22, 2011, for a gala evening of dinner, entertainment, and tribute, celebrating the 19th anniversary of Chabad-Lubavitch of Riverdale, directed by Rabbi Levi Y. and Sorah Shemtov at the New York Botanical Garden. The honorees were Myrna & Eric Zinn, and Pamela & Barry Moskowitz.

The Rebbetzin Gave it up for Forty Years

This Thursday, 22 Shevat, marks the passing of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson (1901-1988) of righteous memory, wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The Avner institute is pleased to present two charming encounters related by Rabbi Shmuel Lew, Headmaster of the Lubavitch Senior Girls School, London, U.K., whose family over the years had warm relations with the Rebbetzin.

Bais Rivkah – Closed. Grades 7&8 Call after 9AM for update.

Bnos Menachem – Pre School closed. Grades 1 and up have regular school.

Mosdos Day Care Center – Closed.

GOSHEN, NY [CHI — On Sunday, January 23, a large crowd gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Chabad’s new Monroe-Chester Center. The celebration also included a ceremony inaugurating the writing of a brand new Torah scroll.
