CAY Hosts Concert in Memory of Kazi Benjamin

On Sunday, Nov 6th, Chevra Ahavas Yisroel hosted a unity concert with legendary Israeli Chasidic singer Yosef Karduner. Proceeds of the show went to the writing of a Sefer Torah in honor of Kasriel Benjamin OBM, who passed away at the young age of 25. The concert also debuted 2 new talents: Yudi’s Project (Yudi Simon), and Yellow Red Sky (Shevach Tamir and Moshe Katzen).

Photographer Itsik Roytman captured the sights, sounds — and smells (!) of this year’s Kosherfest, the world’s largest kosher products trade event, which took place across the Hudson River in Secaucus, New Jersey. Among the participants were many Kosher food purveyors from Crown Heights, as well as Israel’s Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger.
