Oholei Torah Chinese Auction Winners Announced

Oholei Torah PTA has released the names of all the lucky winners in its Chinese auction this past Motzei Shabbos and Sunday. The prizes range from $10,000 cash to a pair of ‘Crocs.’ The biggest winners, of course, are the students of Oholei Torah, who will benefit greatly physically and spiritually from the proceeds of this event. Chabad Welcomes Delegates at Big Tent for Israel

As hundreds of Israel supporters converged on Manchester’s “Big Tent for Israel,” Chabad was on hand to offer participants the opportunity to do a Mitzvah. The Chabad booth, manned by L’Chaim-Chabad Rabbis and volunteers, helped many put on Tefillin or do other Mitzvos to merit the land and people of Israel.

Yisroel Newman makes an interesting point in his op-ed, Chevra Ahavas Yisroel, One Year Later: CAY has no business holding itself out as an official shul in Crown Heights unless it complies with the community’s standards. Therefore, if CAY wishes to continue operating in Crown Heights, it has an obligation to the community to change the way it operates.
