Before being assigned to groups of Tze’irei Hashluchim to care for over the next few days, volunteer counselors gathered for a mission statement and words of inspiration.
An unexpected surprise awaited the Shluchim who arrived for the Kinus, in the form of a temporary photo gallery featuring a stunning collection of photographs from Tishrei, 5748, also known as “Tismach,” from the lens of photographer Levi Yitzchok Freidin.

This years Kinus Hashluchim coincides with the 200th Yohrtzeit of the Alter Rebbe – the author of the holy Tanya. Marking this milestone a new special edition of the Tanya was printed for the Shluchim and was distributed on Thursday.

What is a Kinus Hashluchim without programming for the Shluchims children? The Shluchim Online School hosted a Day of Celebration for 65 of their students who traveled to New York with their fathers. The students spent part of the day in regular Oholei Torah classrooms, had a reunion brunch and went bowling!
