Due to the severe backlogging of court cases caused by Hurricane Sandy, the hearing over the law requiring mohelim to obtain parents’ “informed consent” before performing metzitzah b’peh has been rescheduled for December 12. In the meantime, the temporary stay on the “consent” rule has been extended, with the government agreeing not to enforce this regulation until oral arguments are heard.

Surrounded by her husband and children, and after the Friday night Kiddush was recited at her bedside, she peacefully returned her soul to her Maker. She was 74.
