Oklahoma City Jews Welcome New Torah
In the Jewish community, completion of a Torah, a sacred text with 304,805 letters, marks a major accomplishment. Sunday afternoon, members of the local Jewish community gathered to celebrate and dedicate the Oklahoma Unity Torah at the Chabad Community Center for Jewish Life and Learning in Oklahoma City.

I penned this op-ed to describe the hardships we experienced over the uncertainty and conflicting reports that emerged from various news outlets over the course of the day, and the potential dangers posed by them.

We are pleased to report that as of 4:30 this morning Yakov has been found and is doing fine. It turns out that he just wanted to take a break from a long summer of hard work, and impulsively decided to leave for a few days vacation. He will return to Crown Heights in the near future.
