Brazil Anash Get Sneak Peak of Historic Documents

On Wednesday, June 13, Anash in S. Paulo, Brazil were treated to a special evening. Taking advantage of a visit by Rabbi Elkonoh Shmotkin, who was accompanying the ‘My Encounter’ interview team on a journey collecting precious testimonies and stories from several residents of the city, a special presentation took place in the ‘Beit Chabad Central,’ exhibiting historic documents pertinent to the early years of the Rebbe’s life.

Lewin & Lewin, LLP, filed today a federal civil-rights lawsuit against the New York City Police Department, the City of New York, and Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly on behalf of Fishel Litzman, a Probationary Police Officer who was discharged less than one month before he completed six months of training at the Police Academy because he refused, for religious reasons, to trim his beard.
