Luxurious New Mikvah is Dedicated in Nashville

Nashville has not had a new Mikvah dedicated in over 50 years, which changed this week when Chabad-Lubavitch of Nashville dedicated their new Mikvah, the crown jewel, of its campus.

Chabad of Baka Remebers Levi Hendel OBM

Chanukah is an especially meaningful time for Chabad of Baka, which was founded in memory of Levi Hendel ob’m, one of the temimim who passed away en route to Chanukah mivtzaim in 2006. Levi Hendel was 13 years old at the time. He and two other Chabad volunteers, Yonatan Biton and Moshe Golan, lost their lives in a car accident on the road from Eilat.

US entrepreneur Jacob Ostreicher arrives to court in Santa Curz, Bolivia, 18 December 2012. A Santa Cruz judge ordered Ostreicher to post a bail and to stay in house arrest within the city of Santa Cruz. Ostreicher has been jailed in Bolivia jail for 18 months on allegations of ties to money laundering and drug trafficking.

LAZ PAZ, Boliva — A Bolivian judge on Tuesday released a New York businessman and granted him house arrest after he was jailed for 18 months without charge despite strong evidence that he was fleeced and extorted by corrupt prosecutors.

Judge Hands Chabad another Hey Teves Victory

Today, Hey Teves, a United States District Court Judge handed Aguc”h, Merkos, Rabbis Krinsky and Friedman another Didan Notzach in a lawsuit brought against them by Zalman Chanin of Vaad L’hafotzas Sichos, Inc.. The lawsuit seeks $21 million among countless other claims which include barring Kehot from printing the Likkutei Sichos.

In honor of Hey Teves, Oholei Torah students enjoyed a full program from Grades Pre 1A-8, including: a Seforim Sale, an overview of the Rebbeim’s Seforim, a hands on exhibition on the history of printing, a Chinese auction and a special presentation by one of the eighth grade students who showed special Seforim with history from the holocaust.
