The Wellsprings Bungalow Colony Day Camp, under the leadership of head counselors Rabbi Avremy and Bracha Slavaticki, went on Mivtzoim this Friday to Hollywood Country Club in Monticello to distribute Shabbos candles. They were greeted with much enthusiasm.
Due to the renewed threat of Hamas rockets aimed at Ben Gurion Airport, the IDF set up a contingent of Iron Dome anti-missile systems in the vicinity of Kfar Chabad. On Friday, a group of Lubavitcher met with these soldiers and helped them put on Tefilin.
Camp Gan Israel in Parksville, NY marked the completion of the first session of camp, a month filled with learning, fun and spiritual growth. This afternoon, a rocket fired by Hamas from the Gaza Strip was intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system in the skies above Kfar Chabad. Fragments from the rocket landed in a field in the outskirts of the town, mere yards away from residential housing.
In light of media bias against Israel and several recent anti-Semitic incidents in Germany, Chabad of Berlin organized a meeting yesterday, July 24, with Israeli diplomat Emmanuel Nahshon to discuss what can be done for the situations to improve.

This photo making its rounds on social media depicts a Lubavitcher putting on Tefilin with a Jewish pro-Palestinian protester.
The residents of a Crown Heights apartment building recently noticed that some of their mail was going missing from their mailboxes. This coincided with several instances of identity theft among the building’s residents, with fraudulent transactions worth tens of thousands of dollars – all of which were a huge headache and took many hours of effort to resolve.

Two beautiful wooden gazebos were recently donated by Hershey Chitrik and his mother Slava to Gan Yisroel-Parksville in loving memory of Shmuel ben R’ Aaron Chitrik, OBM, a former staff-member in camp who passed away on the 20th of Tammuz during the summer of 1987.
