A brand new Honda Accord belonging to a member of Anash, which was parked on President Street between Kingston and Albany Avenues, was the latest victim of the mysterious wheel thieves who have been operating with impunity and devastating vehicle owners all over Crown Heights over the last couple of years.

This morning, a rescue team operating in Nepal discovered the body of Michal Cherkesky, an Israeli woman who died during a surprise avalanche while hiking the Himalayan Mountains last week.

Shomrim Assists in Apprehending Suspected Cell Phone Thief
A suspected thief was arrested after attempting to ‘sell back’ a stolen iPhone to its owner. Collaboration between the victim, Shomrim and the NYPD led to the recovery of the phone and the victim’s money.

12-Year-Old Crown Heights Girl Latest ‘Knockout’ Victim
A 12-year-old girl in Crown Heights is the latest victim of a knockout attack. The girl’s father says his daughter was simply walking back from the grocery store on East New York Avenue Tuesday night when a man on a bike attacked her.
3 Israeli Hikers Killed, 1 Missing in Nepal Avalanches
At least 39 people were killed after a blizzard triggered avalanches on a mountain hiking trail in Nepal. Among the victims are three Israelis who were killed and another who is still missing. Search and rescue workers are still searching for an additional 20 missing hikers.
Video: World’s Tallest Man Shakes the Lulav
At a Chol Hamoed Sukkos event in Sheepshead Bay, two Bochurim doing Mivtzoim at the event discovered that one of the entertainers was Jewish. He eagerly agreed to perform the Mitzvah of shaking the Lulav and Esrog.
