Jews at American University will soon find themselves much closer to their local Shluchim. Rabbi Yehoshua and Esti Hecht will iy’h be moving to the American University Area in Northwest Washington, DC, which includes the campus of American University and adjoining neighborhoods.

The Tefillin Strap Controversy

There is a new controversy gradually brewing which has a number of Rabbis visibly upset at some of the Sofrim who deal in the sale of Tefillin. And the controversy does not seem to be going away. It has to do with Retzuos, the straps that bind the Tefillin to the head and to the arm.

CGI Florida Hosts MBP Awards Ceremony

As every year, the campers of Gan Israel-Florida overnight camp worked on preparing a special and most befitting present for the Rebbe with their annual Mishnayos Be’Al Peh program; together, the campers learned and were tested on close to 30,000 lines of Mishnayos, Tanya, Siddur and Yediyos Kloliyos. This figure includes: 48 complete perakim, 651 Mishnas and 1,868 lines of Tanya.
