It is with sadness and deep pain we inform you of the tragic and extremely untimely passing of a young Shliach, Meir Shlomo (Shloima’le) Zaltzman OBM, at the mere age of 7-months-old, son of Rabbi Mendel and Chanie (nee Matusof) Zaltzman who are the directors of the JRCC of Yonge & Clark in Toronto, Canada.

Shloima’le is the grandchild of Rabbi Yoseph Y. and Chiena Zaltzman, who are the directors of the Jewish Russian Community Center of Toronto.

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Lubavicher Yeshiva students showed off their talent this evening in a spectacular exhibition on “what can I do to bring Moshiach now?”

Tens of students drew posters, built projects, created slideshows and even performed live shows all on this theme. The EXPO is part of a 6 week long campaign on “what can I do to bring Moshiach now?” in which students need to collect coupons on this same theme. The coupons, or at least some of them, have letters of a special message that the students need to put together, other coupons have surprises such as free drinks and Ices.

Alternate Side Parking and Parking Meter Rules Suspended

Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations are suspended on Monday, May 25 for the observance of Memorial Day. Because Memorial Day is a major legal holiday, parking meter regulations are also suspended. On major legal holidays, stopping, standing, and parking are permitted, except in areas where stopping, standing, and parking rules are in effect 7 days a week (for example, “No Standing Anytime”).
