Shabbos Storm To Dump Heavy Snow On Tri-State

Israeli Mayor Visits Crown Heights

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Thursday morning, the mayor of Afula, a city in the North of Israel, Mr. Avi Elkabetz visited Crown Heights, just before catching his flight back to Israel. While in Crown Heights the Mr. Elkabetz visited the Rebbe’s room, toured the Jewish Children’s Museum, met with Rabbi’s at OK Kosher and then visited the Ohel.

Video – DEP Warns Homeowners Of Imposters

NEW YORK, NY [NY1] — The Department of Environmental Protection is warning homeowners about people posing as city employees to make money.
The imposters pretend to be workers or contractors of the DEP.

Officials say the fakes usually travel in pairs and claim they need to check the pipes or collect money for overdue water bills.

Alternate Side Parking Rules Suspended Shabbos

The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation (DSNY) today announced the suspension of Alternate Side Parking (ASP) regulations citywide for Shabbos, January 10 to facilitate snow removal. However, parking meters will remain in effect throughout the City.
