Hatzalah’s CH-1 Involved in an Accident

Friday night at around 3:00am Hatzalahs newest ambulance ‘CH-1’ was involved in an accident while transporting a patient to Methodist Hospital. The accident took place on Eastern Parkway and New York Ave at around 3:00am, the ambulance was en route to the hospital and made a left turn from New York Ave onto Eastern Pkwy and a Toyota of an unknown model came down the parkway at a high rate of speed and struck the ambulance.

The ambulance took significant damage to its rear on the driver’s side, while the other took heavy damage to its front end. The driver of the Toyota refused medical attention at first but at the end submitted to treatment from EMS workers that responded to the incident. One of Hatzalahs other ambulances, CH-3, responded and continued the transport of the patient.
