Fort Collins allows only xmas trees on public property. A Jewish group has gotten the OK to light the symbol of Hanukkah,

U.S. Sen. Wayne Allard will participate in a holiday celebration organized by a Fort Collins Jewish group that disagrees with the city’s policy of allowing only xmas trees to be displayed on public grounds.

Allard will join the Jewish leaders and Mayor Doug Hutchinson in the lighting of a menorah on Dec. 21, in recognition of the annual eight-day Hanukkah celebration that begins the night of Dec. 15.

R. Groner Honored at a Local Business Owners Sons Bris

The Rebbes secretary Rabbi Groner attended the Bris of Mr. Sholom Kvitals son, proprietor of “Union Car service”, which has been serving Crown Heights for 16 years.

The Bris took place at the Georgian Synagogue in Forest Hills, Queens, under the leadership of Rabbi Avrohom Ashvill and Rabbi Aharon Chein.

3rd Accident Involving a School Bus in a Week

At around 3:30pm on Tuesday afternoon a black BMW collided with a school bus at the intersection of President St. and Brooklyn Ave. Eyewitnesses said that they had seen the BMW speed down President and heard it try to stop when it reached the intersection of Brooklyn where it collided with the bus. The BMW had a red light.

The school bus, operated by the ‘Varsity Bus Co.’ was packed with kids on their way home. Police had blocked off the surrounding area with the assistance of a few Shomrim Members and FDNY EMT’s treated some of the children on the bus for minor injuries, a few were transported to a local hospital.

Shiur in Inyonai Geuala U’Moshiach with R. Seligson

As we reported last week about the new initiative by Bochurim in Kvutseh to have a Shiur in Inyonai Geuala U’Moshiach in 770, Tuesday Night marked the successful completion of the second such Shiur which had a larger attendance. The Shiur was given by R. Michoel Seligson.
