Tonight – The Precinct Council Meeting

So, we all used the comments to vent our anger at police at the community and the community council and we all criticized each other for talking and not doing. So here is your chance to do something!

Attend the precinct council meeting, it takes place in IS 61 located at 400 Empire Blvd on the corner of New York Ave. and it begins at 7:30. Deputy Inspector and Commanding Officer Frank Vega attends each of these meetings, and will be there to listen to suggestions and complaints from residents.

Be there or be nowhere! Your attendance will show our care and support for our community!

Tonight: Shiur followed by Farbrengen

The motto of the Rebbe Maharash, whose birthday is today, was “L’chatchila Ariber” – exhortation to supersede limitation (that’s how chabad.org translates it). That is what we are trying to do with this ad-hoc Farbrengen in honor of Bais Iyar catered specifically for bochurim learning and/or working in Crown Heights. Age is not an obstacle.

Today, Wednesday, at 10pm there will be a Shiur and Farbrengen at the Rubashkin residence, 1349 President St, [between Kingston and Brooklyn Ave] with the talking phenomenon, Rabbi Yossi Jacobson, which will be broadcast live over the Internet.

PSA: Car 1733 is back on the Road

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — The Police car designated to pull motorist over for driving infractions was spotted a short while ago on Montgomery and Kingston. As we have reported a little while back the car was involved in an accident and hasn’t been around since.

Drivers should always wear their seatbelts and not talk on their cell phones without a hands free device, but should now take extra care!
