Alternate Side Parking Rules Are Suspended on Tuesday

The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation (DSNY) today announced the suspension of Alternate Side Parking (ASP) regulations citywide for Tuesday, January 27 to facilitate snow removal. However, parking meters will remain in effect throughout the City.

Monday: Detention Hearing in Sholom Rubashkins Case

The Rubashkin family and the members of the Anash community for Pidyon Shivuyim extend their heartful request to all Anash to join us for special prayers at the Ohel this Monday, January 26th, Rosh Chodesh Shvat at 9:30 a.m. which will correspond to 8:30 a.m. in Iowa when the hearing will begin. Busses have been arranged to leave 770 at 9:00 a.m. and will return at 11:00 a.m.

If you cannot join us at the Ohel please set aside a few moments in your home, school, or Shul to recite Tehillim and study Torah in the z’chus of Sholom Mordechai HaLevi Ben Rivkah.

Like every year, Yeshivas from across America and beyond prepare to travel to the Rebbe’s chatzer for Yud Shevat. The growing number of Lubavitcher Bochurim is estimated at close to 2,000 from 40 different Yeshivas.

For the fifth year now, the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim has announced the “Kinus Hatmimim Haolami”. The International Conference of Tmimim and Farbrengen.

Snow combined with freezing temperatures are causing very hazardous driving conditions, with snow freezing and turning into sheets of ice.

There were well over 20 reported accidents in Crown Heights and the vicinity alone. Motorists take care and caution while driving tonight.

Parents of Injured Soldiers Request: Pray for Their Recovery

The staff of the Chabad’s Terror Victims Project are visiting the soldiers injured by the fighting in Gaza, who are hospitalized in hospitals throughout Israel. In Soroka in Beer Sheva, Beilinson in Petach Tikva, Barzilai in Ashkelon and Shiba in Ramat Gan. We strive to encourage and strengthen the spirit of the injured soldiers , bring them gifts, while giving the families emergency aid.

This Motzei Shabbos, January 10th, the 14th of Tevet there will be a rally at the Ohel for all children ages 5-12. Busses leaving at 6:30pm and returning 8:45pm. $3.00 for the bus.

Yagdil Torah Launching New Beis Midrash

Yagdil Torah’s new Beis Midrash will begin this week! The sessions will take place at Kolel Menachem on Thursday evenings, begining at 8:30pm.

There will be several Chaburos and Shiurim, and study resources will be available for those who want to study independently or with a Chavrusa.
