MISTAKE in this weeks Haftorah in Sefer HaHaftoros

A reader has brought to our attention that there is a serious mistake in the Haftorah of this week’s Parasha, Parshas Bo. With Yud Shvat next week it is customary that all Bochurim and Men get Aliyos and this mistake applies even more.

The mistake is in Posuk Chof of Yirmiyahu Perek Mem Vov, the mistake is with the word “Keretz” which instead it says “Keren” giving the posuk an entirely incorrect meaning. This mistake only applies to the Sefer HaHaftoros, Chumashim on the other hand do not have this mistake.

A Chazara Shiur on family Halachos for Men is slated to begin next week. The Shiurim will take place on Tuesdays from Parshas Bo to Parshas Mishpatim; 2,9,16, and 23 of Shvat, the 27th of January, 3,10,17, of February. Maariv is at 9:00 with the shiur following at 9:10pm. The shiurim will be delivered by Rabbi Shmuel Bluming in English at Agudas Yisroel, 456 Crown Street between Brooklyn and Kingston Avenue.

The Rubashkin family and the members of the Anash community for Pidyon Shivuyim extend their heartful request to all Anash to join us for special prayers at the Ohel this Monday, January 26th, Rosh Chodesh Shvat at 9:30 a.m. which will correspond to 8:30 a.m. in Iowa when the hearing will begin. Busses have been arranged to leave 770 at 9:00 a.m. and will return at 11:00 a.m.

If you cannot join us at the Ohel please set aside a few moments in your home, school, or Shul to recite Tehillim and study Torah in the z'chus of Sholom Mordechai HaLevi Ben Rivkah.

Like every year, Yeshivas from across America and beyond prepare to travel to the Rebbe's chatzer for Yud Shevat. The growing number of Lubavitcher Bochurim is estimated at close to 2,000 from 40 different Yeshivas.

For the fifth year now, the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim has announced the “Kinus Hatmimim Haolami”. The International Conference of Tmimim and Farbrengen.

An accident today on Kingston Ave and Empire Blvd - Illustration Photo.

Snow combined with freezing temperatures are causing very hazardous driving conditions, with snow freezing and turning into sheets of ice.

There were well over 20 reported accidents in Crown Heights and the vicinity alone. Motorists take care and caution while driving tonight.
