With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Raizel Zirkind OBM, the wife of famed sofer Rabbi Eliezer Tzvi Zev Zirkind OBM, and matriarch of a large Lubavitch family. She passed away on Tuesday, the 29th of Iyar, 5781. Updated with Levaya information

Russian Jews for the Victims of Meron Tragedy

When the news of the Meron tragedy reached Moscow, the Chief Rabbi of Russia, Berel Lazar, called for a rally at the Marina Roscha Synagogue in Moscow. There they recited Tehillim for the wounded, and silently listened to the speeches, in which there was a call to add in prayer, charity, and especially the mitzvah of Ahavat Yisrael.

Duke University Jewish Undergrads Get a Royal New Home

As Duke University celebrates commencement festivities and bids farewell to their 2021 graduates, there is additional cause for celebration among its Jewish students. They can now look forward to greeting incoming students this fall with an expansive new presence centrally located alongside Duke’s East Campus in Durham, N.C.
