Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski hugs R' Gershon Mendel Garelik

Warsaw, Poland - A delegation from the Rabbinical Centre of Europe (RCE) was welcomed this past Friday, by the the Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski at the Belweder Palace. The RCE delegation presented the president with matza, the unleavened bread that is eaten by Jews on the Passover festival.

DESTIN — It only took a few phone calls for Rabbis Levi Mentz and Hirshi Sputz to fill Thursday’s baking class with children. The student rabbis from Brooklyn came to the “remote area” of Destin to hold a traditional Passover for the local Jewish community.

Kids Bring Matzah and Pesach Spirit to the ‘Young At Heart’

Kicking off Chabad of Great Neck’s ‘smile on seniors’ youth initiative, this past Friday a group of kids and young adults came to distribute matzah and Passover spirit with the young at heart citizens at the Atria home for seniors. The group sang Passover songs, accompanied by an ensemble of piano, violin and harmonica. Later the kids distributed matzah to their hosts.
