Lehrer—a mathematician who in his academic career taught at Harvard, MIT and the University of California, and worked at a point at the Atomic Energy Commission—passed away on Shabbat, July 26 (Rosh Chodesh Av), at the age of 97 at his home in Cambridge, Mass.
