330 Extra Cops to Combat Rise in Shootings

New York City police say shootings are up so far this year and to combat the spike, 330 officers are being pulled from their usual duties for special patrols. So far this year, there have been 439 shootings, up from 403 in 2014.

Russian Authorities Raid Chabad Day School

Authorities in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg raided the local chapter of Or Avner, a Chabad-run Jewish day school, confiscating Jewish books and questioning 30 students on ‘suspicion of racism.’ The raid was carried out by the Russian state security agency FSB, successor to the dreaded Soviet KGB.

Two 20-Year-Olds Involved in Accident, One Dies

At around 4:00am this morning, Tuesday, a chaotic car crash occurred near the corner of S. Johns Place and Nostrand Ave. in Crown Heights. The male driver and his female passenger, both 20 years old, were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The female died from her wounds shortly thereafter.

NJ Governor Christie Hosts 7 Shluchim
