Title I Pre-K Teacher Position Available

We are seeking a female Pre-K teacher to teach in our Title I Program at Beis Chaya Mushka.

Applicants must have completed the following:

- NYS Licensed in Early childhood – Child Abuse Workshop – School Violence Prevention Workshop

The duties of the job include teaching Literacy and Math. It is two and a half to three hours daily, Monday – Thursday.

Girls Describe ‘Hachnosas Orchim’ in Crown Heights

Dramatic change came this year for girls who stayed in Crown Heights for the month of Tishrei. Thanks to the help of a number of donors Bnot Chabad provided dignified accommodation for some 200 girls, meaningful programing throughout their stay, daily meals and trips to the Ohel. As the guests make their way back home with renewed Chayus and Hiskashrus, some share their experiences spending ‘Tishrei with the Rebbe’.

Letter & Spirit: Do the Non-Jews Really Hate Us?

In this week’s edition of Letter & Spirit, we present a letter of the Rebbe in which he responds to a non-Jew who questioned why it is that Jews feel so strongly that the Gentiles are not well disposed toward them and even seem suspicious and fearful of non-Jews. The letter was written through the Rebbe’s trusted secretary Rabbi Nissan Mindel, and was made available by his son-in-law Rabbi Sholom Ber Shapiro.

Today, the FDNY EMS HAZ and TAC Units transferred to Bellevue Hospital a patient who presented a fever and gastrointestinal symptoms. The patient is a health care worker who returned to the U.S. within the past 21 days from one of the three West African countries currently facing the outbreak of this virus.
