Satire Challenge: Last Years Pre-Purim Satire Challenge Winners

by CrownHeights.info

Following an amazing run last year, the judges of the Pre-Purim Satire Challenge gave their verdicts on the most hilarious artwork. Lets go back a year and take a look at what they decided.

The four judges of CrownHeights.info’s first-ever Pre-Purim Satire Challenge made their selections, choosing their favorite submissions as winners in this incredible contest.

1st Place: Nine Things Only A Lubavitcher Might Say, and Understand

2nd Place: After Activist Outcry, Mashiach Flag To “Go- Green”

3rd Place: Mazal Tov, The Purim Engagement List

With congratulation to the winners, we would also be remiss not to share with our readership the public opinion poll we ran on CrownHeights.info. The winner of that survey was overwhelming. Mishna Bruriah, The Never Written Teachings Of Bruriah, was the solid favorite.

As the judging was four ways, and each judge found something unique with each submission, let’s share which submission was each judge’s favorite.

Zvi Hershkowitz (Cholent Face) – A Version of The History Of Crown Heights “Hands down the winner. Whoever this is has got an unbelievably brilliant sense of humor. I was howling several times and printed it out to read during dessert at my Shabbos table (FYI don’t serve cholent before reading comedy articles). I really hope s/he continues this article with more memories because it was loaded with insider Lubavitch jokes, poked light fun at the “memories of old days,” and classic fabrengens. I hope s/he writes more comedy because this is pure talent.”

Mendy Pellin – Nine Things Only A Lubavitcher Might Say, and Understand

Rivky Perl – The Husband of Valor “Perfect! The only thing missing is the husband’s commitment to a Target run and then we can officially send it to Hallmark!”

Zehavit Rosenbloom – Nine Things Only A Lubavitcher Might Say, and Understand

Thank you all, those that sent in submissions last year as well as our readers, for joining us in this fun and amazing challenge. Let’s see what hilarity this year has in store…..
