Photos: Lag B’omer in Kharkov, Ukraine!

The main streets of Pushkinskaya and Sumskaya were closed to let the Kharkov Lag Baomer Parade through! After the 12 Pesukim were said by students of the kindergarten, cheder, Machon and Yeshiva the parade began with a large band and men on stilts.

Spectators watched in awe as the crowd marched with pride with banners and signs.

Young and old enjoyed the program which was followed by pony rides, a jumping castle, face painting, a barbecue and bonfire. This year special mention was made that this was the 20th year that Lag baomer has been celebrated publicly in the streets of Kharkov.
