Rabbi Riskin shared of his first Yechidus with the Lubavitcher Rebbe. In 1964 when he was offered the Rabbinical Position at Lincoln Square Synagogue in Lincoln Center, Manhattan, at that time the Shul did not have a Mechitzah the Rebbe’s advice to Rabbi Riskin was to take the position, and the reason being that at times of war you have to dress like the enemy, and you will succeed. Rabbi Riskin pointed out that a few days before they announced that they will allow a Full Mechitzah Rabbi Riskin received a telegram from the Rebbe with congratulations (Ichula Lioraisa)

Rabbi Riskin also shared that the Rebbe was very involved and gave him tremendous Brochos for his Community & Yeshivot in Efrat. The Rebbe told Rabbi Riskin that his Hatzlacha will come from 1) Yeshiva for Bochrim 2) To send Shluchim that are modern on the out side and Chabad on the inside. And the Rebbe gave him a Bracha Veyarich Yomim Ad Biat Goel. Veyatzliach.

Rabbi Riskin was very grateful to Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Hakohen Gutnick of Melbourne Australia who gave him a Million Dollar gift for his Bochrim Yeshiva. Rabbi Riskin said that he was so moved that Rabbi Gutnick gave him the gift, he asked Rabbi Gutnick what motivated him to give the Gift, Rabbi Gutnick said that when he heard from his Mechuten Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky of the Rebbes Brocha that motivated him.

when writing things in the name of the Rebbe I think it should come with some disclaimer, dehainu, we can not be sure of everything said in the name of the Rebbe, is actually as said.

I have great doubts on some of the above comments made bY Rabbi Riskin in the Rebbes name.

It’s HIS memory and HIS interpretation etc.
