Become a Family Peer Advocate (FPA) with Paid Training (Assisting families with mental health needs, behavioral challenges and/or developmental disabilities) CARES is looking for parents, siblings, caretakers, and close family members of those with mental health needs, behavioral challenges and/or developmental disabilities. If you fall into the above categories, then you are eligible to be trained and paid as a CARES Family Peer Advocate (FPA), where you can bring real understanding to families navigating similar journeys. Responsibilities & Requirements: You will provide emotional support for a family on their journey to reduce isolation, feelings of stigma, blame and hopelessness. CARES is offering you a remarkable opportunity: an 18-month paid training program towards becoming a certified FPA.
