19 Kislev Celebrated in Moscow with Lavish Dinner

In a sight yet to be seen in Moscow, some 2,000 people gathered to partake in a grand Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen, marking the day the Alter Rebbe was freed from Czarist prison.

Rabbi Berel Lazar, the head Shliach and Chief Rabbi of Russia, led the Farbrengen. Also in participation was cantor Rabbi Berel Zaltzman and head of Aguch in Russia Rabbi Yitzchok Kogan.

The crowd enjoyed performances by the Shira choir, whose members traveled in for the occasion from Brooklyn.

The Farbrengen concluded with joyous singing and dancing.
