Canadian PM Features Chabad on his Facebook Page
It’s a cover photo on the facebook page of Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper: He and his wife lighting the Chanukah menorah at their official residence in New Edinburg, Ottawa.
The Prime Minister posted the following caption for the photo: “Laureen and I lighting the Menorah at 24 Sussex, as Rabbi Wineberg looks on.”
Rabbi Yitzchok Wineberg is executive director of Chabad-Lubavitch of British Columbia.

Way to show care for yidden and to show how inspired he was to do this! Hopefully it will inspire others in the country to do more mitzvos!

I don´t understand why we should have mayors and prime ministers lighting our menorahs. Is it to feel more important ourselves as Chabad-emissaries?

What a Kiddush Hashem and Kiddush Lubavitch! Our prime Minister is a wonderful person, mentsch and Ohev Yisroel. May Hashem bentch him and his wife with many more healthy years to serve our country and be a true example to other countries.

either way nice to see this happening in Canada! The PQ in Montreal are not friends of the Jews, so this is definitely positive!
