Can’t recall the Mitzvah Thanksgiving Turkeys, and didn’t find it in any of the Rebbe’s sichos, mugah or bilti mugah. Now start bashing.

Do you deduce from the fact that the Rebbe spoke about the holiday of thanks as the Rebbe implying that this is a new Mivtza of Lubavitch and that Shluchim should occupy themselves worrying about the old ladies that they should be able to celebrate thanksgiving? I failed to hear this in the Sicha.

As a matter of fact, the Rebbe does emphasize that this holiday was mainly instituted by non-Jews and he doesn’t even hint that Jews should adopt this holiday, but rather that the Jews should celebrate their own holiday of thanks called Chanukah!

we are covered with plenty of our own wonderful reasons to give and share.
