Weekly Photo: From Days Gone By
CrownHeights.info and Lubavitch Archives present this vintage photograph of a Chossid helping a young Bochur do Kapparos. Can you identify those in the picture, when and where it was taken?
Answer to last week’s photo in the extended article.
Rabbi Mendel Futerfas visits the Lubavitch Cheder in Detroit, Michigan, which was located in its beginnings in the basement of the Mishkan Israel Nusach Ari Shul in Oak Park.
Seated is Mrs. Silver, the Cheder’s first teacher.
The photo was taken circa 1969.
Among the children seated at the table: Moishe Silver, Dovid A. Polter and Chanie Deitsch (nee Krantz).
