From Days Gone By: Lag Ba’omer Float, 1970

This photo, taken during the Lag Ba’omer parade of 1970, depicts part of one of the earliest versions of the ‘floats’ that would become ubiquitous in the parades of the later years. This Chinuch-themed float was created by the students Beis Rivkah, and is pulled by an early years’ version of the Beis Rivkah ‘school bus.’

This float was made by Rabbi Y. Majesky, who was the principal of Bais Rivka at the time, in the alleyway of his home.
