Stop with the negative commenting, the slander, the justification...

A Pushka. A Tehillim.

Just a few examples of how we should react to these calamities. Think of a positive thing to say or do and share it with others. Take upon yourself a new Hachlata and ask Hashem to help out this community.

It is time for all of us to take a good, long look at ourselves and consider how we can improve our relationships with Hashem and with one another.

With our sincerity, He will surely not permit another…

    I agree. All from a post of “help needed” came comments that scared me from even thinking about the root cuase

    Today I will take on a hachlata to say good morning and smile to everyone I see.

  • Let-s all sing

    Gray skies are gonna clear up,
    Put on a happy face;
    Brush off the clouds and cheer up,
    Put on a happy face.
    Take off the gloomy mask of tragedy,
    It’s not your style;
    You’ll look so good that you’ll be glad
    Ya’ decide to smile!
    Pick out a pleasant outlook,
    Stick out that noble chin;
    Wipe off that “full of doubt” look,
    Slap on a happy grin!
    And spread sunshine all over the place,
    Just put on a happy face!

  • I am touched

    WOW – I think this OP-ED will create a change in all our focus perspectives!

    Tracht Gut Vet Zayn Gut!

    May they have a speedy Yehoshua!

  • experience is the best teacher?

    the expression “god helps those that help themselves”
    dont let arrogance and stubborness be the tombstones of a community that has brought plenty of blessings and goodness into the world
    listening and good ethics are integral to any community’s survival and success
    make an effort to do the right thing
    a mezuzah can be written with a reed
    be flexible often enough to be brought to higher level
    have enough discipline and principals to know right from wrong
    telling people to put on teffilin an hour before candlelighting isnt a good practice
    helping people be successful with a mitzva goreress mitzva plan is ie saying shema bzman sitting up properly is a mitzva

  • Moshe

    if Chabad want a change it needs to change itself from the unjust and dishonest practices of the leadership on the underlings. Don’t u think G-d is telling us to improve our behaviour

  • tzedek tirdoif

    while praying and looking positive is a good thing the enemies still need to be dealt with. There are some bad people in Chabad and they need to be exposed and dealt with

  • Article Should Be Removed!

    I find it quite disturbing that the author is equating mere legal squabbles with the loss of human life. This is despicable and is a display of the writer’s total lack of sensitivity.

    I also think that CH.info needs to upgrade its editorial oversight by refraining from publishing editorials that are pointless, poorly written and ones that do not discuss their issues respectfully to all parties mentioned.

  • great article - keep -em coming!!!

    the author has done a GREAT job! If you look at the message – he is not comparing types of tragedies. No matter the type, no matter how much worse one may be then the other – each one is a tragedy in it’s own right – & for the families concerned – it is a major nisayon & a calamity. Families are being ripped apart, hurt in crazy ways – guys – WAKE UP & SMELL THE COFFEE!!!! Hashem is waiting to see how we deal with it – can we please stick up for our fellow Yidden in Hashem’s court & say – ENOUGH!!!! I don’t care what the reason is – I will only look @ the positive! Hashem – you created these neshamos, STOP giving this Tzaar!!! We need Moshiach NOW!!!!! ENOUGH TRAGEDIES _ WE’RE READY FOR THE GOOD TIMES NOW!!!! Thank you for voicing what so many of us feel!

  • thinking out of the box

    I think it is time to kick Crown Heights out of Lubavitch. Put the whole community under the leadership of someone elected by the offical shluchim until there is some sort of order. Maybe in ten or twenty years there will be a seed of community and unity. You need to learn how to work together.

  • rope

    im confused what did the vaad hakol articles have to do with this op-ed? youre just bringing up more loshon harah (against the new vaad)! i agree we need unity, not more loshon harah.

  • Kop Mentch

    I was about to write a nasty comment. Instead I re-read the article. Now I am going to write a very simple comment: What a load of BS!

    Nasty comments are often well deserved. They are fully earned. Don’t hold back just to appease. If anyone deserves a nasty comment – pour it on!

  • A Shlucha

    Thinking out of the box:

    What absolute, despicable chutzpah you have! Who do you think you are?! As if an “official shliach” would have the “right” to “head” Crown Heights?! Which planet are you from? Watch what you say about the Rebbe’s Shchunah!
    P.s. If CH is “ripped out” (!), where will you bring the students’ of the campus kinus this week?! And who will host the multitudes, spending time, money and effort freely?! Just to mention one minor example! I am outraged at your vulgarity.

  • Yosi Z

    “Stop with the negative commenting, the slander, the justification…”

    and don’t forget it’s YOUR GUYS job to censor the comments… anything that smells of loshan horah, you should delete. I mean seriously.

    also, might I suggest that you guys have to different sections, where the reader gets to chose what he wants to read, one for the bad news and one for the good news, and stop giving everyone “bi-polar episodes”, with one story reading “Engagemnt!” and the next informing us of a someone who passed away R”L nisht far keinem gedacht. Just a suggestion.
