BDE: Rabbi Yerachmiel Ber Liberman, OBM

With great sadness we report the untimely passing of Rabbi Yerachmial Ber (Rachmiel) Liberman OBM, a dedicated Chossid of the Rebbe, and the Rabbi of Congregation Lubavitch in South Brookline Massachusetts.

Rabbi Liberman received Rabbinical Ordination and an advanced degree in Jewish Jurisprudence from Rabbi Pinchas Hirshprung, Chief Rabbi of Canada, and from Yeshiva Tomchei T’mimim.

Rachmiel opened the first orthodox shul in South Brookline and Roxbury, and was given a bracha by the Rebbe on the name of the Shul, Congregation Lubavitch.

He was also the administrator of the Diamond-K kashrus agency, and Executive Director of the Jewish Educational Center of Massachusetts.

He is survived by his brothers Zalman Liberman, Craig Liberman, and sister Bonnie Liberman.

He was predeceased by his parents Mordechai and Yocheved Liberman OBM.

The levaya will be held tomorrow, Friday at 11:00am, with burial at Montifiore Cemetery near the Ohel.
