Jewish Cemetery Gravestones Destroyed By Sanitation Workers In Snow ‘Cleanup’
BROOKLYN — When residents demanded that heads roll after the city’s shameful response to the blizzard cleanup, they didn’t mean headstones.
But that’s exactly what happened when Department of Sanitation workers packed load after load of snow and ice against the fence of Washington Cemetery on Bay Parkway, between McDonald Avenue and 57th Street. The metal gates buckled under the weight, toppling approximately 30 gravestones over the weekend.
“[Sanitation workers] were continually dumping snow there for several days,” said Washington Cemetery (5400 Bay Parkway) employee Mike Ciamaga, who added that cemetery officials first noticed the broken gravestones on Sunday morning. ”As of this morning they were still dumping there.”
A full tally of the broken gravestones hasn’t yet been determined, since many are buried under the snow and ice, according to Ciamaga. Most of the families affected have not yet been notified.

go for a tour of the montifiore cemetery it was three years ago that i noticed a few tombstones had fallen over and most likely no one has enough time to deal responsibly with the situation so the goyim are innocent

#2 The nation has a long history of problems just like everybody else. Get out of your bubble and you’ll find there are plenty of good people in the world who are not Jewish and who will be as kind, decent and dignified to you as you are to them.

I would say it could be anti semitism. I am sure a sanitation worker would be very well aware of what was in the neighborhood he works in. Driving a plow a bit too far over is not normal and could have been done with intention or he had to swerve and forgot to put the plow up. Either way this should be investigated. His friends should be questioned as to whether or not he had an attitude towards Jews. It sure looks that way from Yiddish glasses.

I really believe in practicing the middot of first assuming the best and not the worst intentions from others. But this seems very obviously antisemetic. Are there any reports of non jewish cemetaries around the city where HUNDREDS of gravestones are destroyed?? In December, more than two HUNDRED gravestones were destroyed in the Jewish cemetery?! This is shocking! I feel so sad for the families!!
